WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT HOW TO MEASURE BRA SIZE

How to Find Your Bra Size

To find your bra size, you’ll need a soft tape measure and your best-fitting bra (preferably an underwire, not a minimizer or sports bra).

  1. Measure your band size. Wearing your bra, take a snug measurement around your rib-cage, directly under your bust and level all around. If you get an odd number, round up to the next even number.

  2. Measure your bust size.Take a loose measurement over the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape level around your body. If needed, round up to the nearest inch.

  3. Measure your cup size.To calculate your cup size, subtract your band size from your bust size, and use the difference to find your cup size on the bra size chart below.

A Word About Bra Sizing

We get that bra sizing can be confusing. Our bodies are constantly changing, too, through weight loss, weight gain, pregnancy, nursing and aging. No wonder seven out of ten women are wearing the wrong bra size. Our body weight also shifts over the years and not all bras fit the same.

Should You Measure Your Own Bra Size?

Measuring your bra size from the comfort of home is a great place to start. Bra size is just that: a start. You wear a different size depending on the brand and even within the same brand, sizes can differ between styles.Just because it is the right size does not always mean that the style works! Determining bra size is as much an art as it is a science. In visiting our store to determine your size, we will be there to teach, as well as support you in finding the perfect fit... you’ll never have to settle for “it kind of fits," again.
